Arturo Carmassi studied at the Albertina Academy in Turin and held his first solo exhibitions in this city. In 1952 he moved to Milan where he assumed the role of leader in informal painting. Since 1948 he has participated in the most important national and international exhibitions. His works are found in numerous collections in Italy and abroad.
